Hot Air Balloon Festival New Mexico 2021

During the hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque New Mexico, which is held every year in late August to early September, visitors can enjoy the colorful whirling aerial display. This yearly event draws visitors from far and wide, and is popular not only among locals but those who love airplanes as well as those who love celebrating holidays. In addition to colorful balloons, there are other events and activities that take place at this premier hot air balloon festival.

During the hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque, one of the most popular attractions is the interactive art and cultural exhibit at the Annual Mesa Day Festival. The hot air balloon flights provide scenic views of the beautiful scenery as well as the spectacular mesa surrounding the town. Many hot air balloon flights land at the Intellote airport, which offers parking, free transportation, and guided tours of the mesa. The tour guides are familiar with local history and are able to provide information about local events, restaurants, shops, and attractions.

Other hot air balloon destinations include Albuquerque’s Spacewindows, which offers many different vantage points from which to view the ballooning activity. Nearby are the Historic District and Museum of New Mexico, which contain a range of artifacts and memorabilia. The Museum has an exhibit that explores the significance of the Alamo; it was one of the original settlements here, and is protected as a historic site. Finally, visitors can explore Santa Fe’s Historic Center, which features an interpretive center, museum, and interactive exhibits.

Another hot air balloon festival in New Mexico is the Albuquerque Balloon Festival. This festival allows participants the opportunity to witness how colorful balloons unfold while soaring above New Mexico’s vast expanses of desert. The hot air balloon festival was founded by Don Wilson, who also developed the Balloon Dance Festival. Other local organizations and businesses offer support and information for festival goers, including the Albuquerque Flying Club, the Balloon Rodeo, and the Red River County Alpacas. Participants of the hot air balloon festival can also enjoy live music, take pictures of the colorful birds, and mingle with other participants.

The colorful hot air balloon descends slowly into the desert night. As it rises, it gradually releases hot air from its fan and emerges into the darkness. The journey upward is lit only by the twinkling of the balloon lights. As the hot air balloon rises, it slowly floats on the cool air laden with humidity. Throughout the journey, the passengers can see the occasional bird or animal walking through the desert. As the hot air balloon descends, the passengers can watch the scenery below.

Throughout the hot air balloon festival, you will hear music and stories from individuals who have visited this event before. You will also hear about how much money was made during the event. A special feature at the end of the hot air balloon festival will allow you to relax and take in the view. Before leaving town, you will be able to take a free hot air balloon ride!
